Stay on top of what matters to you by customizing your notification settings.
Types of Notifications
The Experience sends notifications for:
- Likes — When someone likes your post or comment.
- Comments — When someone comments on your post.
- Echoes (Reshares) — When someone reshares your content.
- New Followers — When someone follows you.
- New Subscribers — When someone subscribes to your content (for creators).
- Tips Received — When you receive a tip (for creators).
- Subscription Expiring — When your subscription to a creator is about to expire.
- Mentions — When someone mentions you in a post or comment.
- Messages — When you receive a new direct message.
Managing Notification Settings
- Go to Settings > Notifications.
- Toggle each notification type on or off based on your preferences.
In-App Notifications
- In-app notifications appear in the Notifications tab (bell icon).
- Notifications are grouped by type for easy browsing.
- Unread notifications are highlighted.
- Click on a notification to go directly to the relevant post, comment, or profile.
- Mark all notifications as read to clear them.
Email Notifications
You can also receive email notifications for important activity:
- Go to Settings > Notifications.
- Toggle Email Notifications on or off.
- Choose which types of activity trigger an email.
Tip: We recommend keeping email notifications on for important items like subscription renewals and security alerts, while turning off less critical ones like individual likes.
Follow Back from Notifications
When someone new follows you, you'll see a notification with a Follow Back button, making it easy to follow them without leaving the notifications page.
